The Indian Scout is an iconic motorcycle from the stable of the first American motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle. The 2022 Indian Motorcycle lineup is extensive, with a total of seven Scout models; the Indian Scout sits at the very top, alongside the Scout Bobber Twenty.

Powering the Scout is a 1,133cc engine, renowned for its strong mid-range and top-end performance. Peak output figures are 100 hp and 72 lb-ft of torque, and this power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox and a low-maintenance belt drive.

While the Indian Scout resembles its namesake from over a century ago, this present-day iteration comes with some modern features. Riders will have access to cruise control, ABS, a digi-analog instrument cluster with a USB port, and grippy Pirelli tires. Other notable elements include forward-set footpegs for relaxed long-distance riding, a genuine leather seat, and loads of embellishments.

For 2022, the Indian Scout is available in two new color schemes — Maroon Metallic and Silver Quartz Metallic over Black Metallic — in addition to the four existing colorways. This year also sees the introduction of a new 146 mm (5.75-inch) Pathfinder Adaptive LED Headlight accessory, available for all Scout models.
