2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 & V4S: The Panigale Streetfighter
Contents
We can all agree that Ducati’s Panigale V4 is the crowned jewel of their 2022 motorcycle lineup, but what happens when you start stripping back the aesthetics of the Panigale and begin cranking up the crazy knob? A V4-powered streetfighter is born.
Unlike the Monster 1200, the Streetfighter V4 takes a different approach due to the DNA of this motorcycle being ripped directly from the Panigale. It shares the same prestigious powerhouse that comes in the form of a MotoGP derived 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4 that produces a ground-shaking 208 horsepower and 90 lb-ft of torque. The power figures alone paired with the fairingless aesthetic of the motorcycle are enough to stave intermediate riders far away from this beast.
To help keep the front wheel of this Italian Streetfighter down, Bosch’s Six-Axis IMU works in perfect synchronicity with the rest of the electronics and sensors around the motorcycle to provide a safe riding experience thanks to ABS Eco, launch control, engine braking controls, wheelie control, and even a quick-shifter.
For some extra cash upfront, you can find yourself on an “S” variant that comes complete with fully-adjustable Öhlins suspension at the front and rear instead of the Showa units found on the standard version. Another added bonus Marchesini forged rims and a few lighter components help shed a total of 5 lbs from the total weight of the bike. Beyond those small changes, the S and standard versions are virtually identical.
The 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 starts at $19,995 USD / $24,495 CAD.
The 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4S starts at $25,195 USD / $28,795 CAD.
