Power cruiser comfort with sport bike specifications? If anyone can do that and put it in a trike, it’s the engineers at Can-Am. Their Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series takes the original F3 and soups it up with a Sport Riding mode, better shocks, and a lower center of gravity to keep your butt in the saddle no matter how bumpy the road beneath you gets.
The engine here is the same made-in-Europe 1330cc ACE™ in-line three-cylinder you’ll find in the basic Spyder F3, producing 115 hp @ 7250 rpm and 96 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm. Special features include gas-charged KYB front shocks and a SACHS rear shock, all tuned specifically for sport riding, vehicle stability and tracking control systems, a panoramic LCD display for the instrument cluster, Bluetooth audio connectivity, and more.
It’s not that different from the F3—or from last year’s model, although you do get cruise control now and the instrument panel is a bit wider. If you want a bigger trike designed and tuned for sport riding, this is one of Can-Am’s 2022 models you should definitely look at.
