The 2022 Can-Am Ryker Sport Edition: Your Ryker for Street Riding
Contents
You’ve got to hand it to Can-Am: they’re really trying to offer a three-wheeler for everyone. When it comes to the Can-Am Ryker series, you’ve got the entry-level base model, the Rally Edition for more serious off-roading—and then there’s the new Sport Edition, which is aimed squarely at road riders.
This version of the Ryker features the same 900cc Rotax engine—made in Europe—as the Rally Edition and the larger of the two available vanilla versions, producing 82 hp and 58.5 lb-ft of torque. But the way the engine (and suspension) are tuned makes the machine much friendlier on paved surfaces than either of its siblings—although we also think the relatively plush seat on this model helps.
There’s a “sport” riding mode here too, which will help you go into controlled slides on pavement rather than dirt or gravel—just don’t do it in traffic if you give three wheels about safety. Still, if you’ve ever dreamed of ripping around town on a motorized trike, this is probably the model in the 2022 lineup of Can-Am products you’ll want to check out.
The 2022 Can-Am Ryker Sport Edition starts at $11,599 USD/14,699 CAD.
