Triumph’s Bonneville Cruiser: The 2021 Triumph Speedmaster
Contents
While the Speedmaster is built on top of the same Bonneville platform like many other motorcycles in the 2021 Triumph line-up, the Speedmaster pulls in a very different direction. The other Bonnies are standards, scramblers, and café racers. The Speedmaster, however, is a cruiser. A thoroughbred, British-made cruiser, too.
The heart of the Speedmaster is a powerful 1,200cc parallel-twin engine—the same found on many other Triumph motorcycles. Thanks to a specialized engine tune, the Speedmaster produces 77 horsepower and 78 lb-ft of torque. That’s 10% more than the current Bonneville T120. That power is kept under control with a Ride-by-Wire throttle, selectable rider modes, and switchable traction control and ABS.
The Speedmaster gets the full cruiser treatment. This comes in the form of swept-back beach bars, forward footpegs, a 12-liter tank, a comfortable seat, and a rear “drum brake” inspired hub that really gives the Speedmaster a vintage look. Other distinctive extras include LED signals, a stylish locking fuel cap, and classically-styled twin throttle bodies.
For 2021, the Speedmaster is available in three color options: Jet Black, Cobalt Blue & Jet Black, and Fusion White & Phantom Black with a hand-painted coachline.
The 2021 Triumph Speedmaster starts from $13,400 USD / $14,950 CAD.

2021 Triumph Speedmaster Features
RIDING COMFORT
But don’t think that hi-tech means minimal comfort. With a seat height of 710mm this is an exceptional low rider and superior handling whether you elect to travel alone or with passenger, while the swept back beach bars and forward pegs encourage you naturally into a pleasing cruiser-style riding position.
The Bonneville Speedmaster ensures a truly remarkable riding experience, whether you’re looking to rumble solo around town or embark on a more adventurous tour with your favourite pillion passenger; both single and twin seat set ups provide equally appealing alternatives.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN...
And to help you get the most from your new Speedmaster, Triumph have developed two ‘inspiration kits’ to get your customisation started; the ‘Highway’ kit focuses on the Speedmaster’s touring capabilities with a full pannier set, touring screen, extra comfort seat, and additional features designed to maximise comfort. Alternatively, the ‘Maverick’ kit offers a more rugged stripped-back streetwise look with single seat setup, flat raked out bars, and stylish blacked out details.
FULL-LED HEADLIGHT
The new full-LED 5-inch multi-function headlight features Triumph’s signature-style Daytime Running Light* (DRL) with distinctive light pattern. In addition, the new Speedmaster also has an LED rear light, LED indicators and LED number plate light that provide greater power efficiency and durability.
*DRL function only available in applicable markets,
TWIN AND SINGLE SEAT SET-UP
The new Speedmaster comes with a versatile twin seat set-up and low rider seat height of 27.7 inch. Both the rider and pillion seats are made of deep foam which is sculpted for extra comfort. The pillion seat, along with chrome grab rail, can also be easily removed to create a clean single seat set-up and silhouette.
CATEGORY-DEFINING CAPABILITY, CONTROL & COMFORT
This exciting new model is everything a classic British Bonneville should be, with a sculpted Bonneville 3.17 gallons tank, machined engine fins and carb-styled twin throttle bodies – all wrapped up in a timeless and iconic motorcycle design.
The swept-back beach bars, forward footpegs, low seat height, and signature Triumph neutral handling dynamics all combine to deliver a superior cruiser-style ride. High-specification brakes and suspension, along with a sculpted rider seat and removable pillion seat enhance both control and comfort.
