The 2021 SUPER73 E-Bike Lineup + Our Take On Each Model

SUPER73 was founded in 2016 out of Southern California. The initial bikes were hand-built and fabricated by their close-knit team in Orange County, California.

They bring a total of 5 different models over 3 segments to the e-bike world. They put a strong emphasis on design, responsible manufacturing practices, and community involvement.

The company was inspired by the vintage motorcycles made popular in the 1970s in California. SUPER73 offers nostalgia with its retro designs but the pleasantries of modern technology.

The 5 models produced by SUPER73 do well in filling the gaps in performance and price. Models currently start at $1,395 and end at $3,495 and carry a vast amount of differences in performance and technology. SUPER73 continues to keep the focus on growth to have its brand on the main stage of e-bike manufacturers.

SUPER73-Z1

The SUPER73-Z1 is the entry-level bike for the SUPER73 brand. Its tiny 64lb package comes packing a punch and is exactly what you need to get around town.

The Z1 has a low seat height of just 27-inches and is perfect for riders between the heights of 4’6 and 5’11″ and maintains a maximum weight capacity of 275lbs.

The Z1 is street legal and comes packing a 500-watt internal hub motor and a 418 watt-hour battery. This fun single-speed urban bike is capable of up to 900 watts of peak power. The claimed range for the Z1 comes in at 15-25 miles (depending on the total weight and terrain travelled).

The Z1 has a price tag of $1,395 and is available in White, Jet Black, Steel Blue, Astro Orange, or Millennial Pink.

The Z1 is currently unavailable for shipping to Canada.

SUPER73-S1

The S1 is SUPER73’s rugged utility e-bike made for urban cruising. Its minimalist 70lb package comes with an LED headlight, brake light, a rear cargo rack, and all-terrain tires.

The S1 has a comfortable seat height of 30-inches and is perfect for riders between the heights of 4’10” and 6’2” and maintains a maximum weight capacity of 275lbs.

The S1 is street legal and comes packing a 500-watt internal hub motor with a peak output of 100 watts and a 768 watt-hour battery. This fun single-speed urban explorer has a capable range of up to 25 miles on throttle only and 35 miles on the ECO pedal assist mode.

The S1 has a price tag of $1,995 and is available in Black, White, and Army Green, and Tan.

SUPER73-S2

The S2 is SUPER73’s performance utility e-bike made for urban cruising. It consists of an aluminum frame with front adjustable suspension and weighs a total of 73lbs. Similar to the S1, it comes with an LED headlight and a brake light.

The S2 has a comfortable seat height of 31-inches and is perfect for riders between the heights of 5’1 – 6’8” and maintains a maximum weight capacity of 325lbs. The S2’s extended seat allows for two-up riding with the optional footpegs.

Like the rest of the SUPER73 lineup, the S2 is street legal and comes packing a powerful 1200 watt internal hub motor with a peak output of 2000 watts. The power delivered from a 960 watt-hour battery with a capable range of up to 40 miles on throttle only and 75 miles on the ECO pedal assist mode.

The S2 has a price tag of $2,695 and is available in Galaxy Black, Apollo White, and Hudson Blue.

SUPER73-R

The R is SUPER73’s first high-performance utility e-bike in their lineup. It consists of an aluminum alloy frame, inverted front forks that allow up to 120mm of travel, adjustable rear shock suspension and weighs a total of 76lbs.

It comes with a Bluetooth smart display, SUPER73 app connectivity, 2 piston caliper brakes, and a cafe racer-style seat.

The R has a comfortable seat height of 33-inches and is perfect for riders between the heights of 5’1 – 6’8” and maintains a maximum weight capacity of 325lbs. The cafe seat allows for two-up riding with the optional footpegs.

It comes packing a powerful 1200 watt internal hub motor with a peak output of 2000 watts. Power is delivered from a 960 watt-hour battery with a capable range of up to 40 miles on throttle only and 75 miles on the ECO pedal assist mode.

The R has a price tag of $2,995 and is available in Olive Drab.

SUPER73-RX

The RX is SUPER73’s top-of-the-line utility e-bike in their lineup. It consists of an aluminum alloy frame, inverted front forks, adjustable rear shock suspension and weighs a total of 80lbs.

It comes with a Bluetooth smart display, SUPER73 app connectivity, Roxim Z4E Elite LED headlight, 4 piston caliper Tektro brakes, and a cafe racer style seat fit for two-up riding.

The R has a comfortable seat height of 33-inches and is perfect for riders between the heights of 5’1 – 6’8” and maintains a maximum weight capacity of 325lbs.

The R is street legal and comes packing a powerful 1200 watt internal hub motor with a peak output of 2000 watts. Similar to the R and S2, power is delivered from a 960 watt-hour battery with a capable range of up to 40 miles on throttle only and 75 miles on the ECO pedal assist mode.
