The 2021 LUNA E-Bike Lineup + Our Take On Each Model

Luna is a fresh company based out of El Segundo, California and is determined to drive the Electric revolution forward worldwide. Luna uses brand-name components and uses innovative development practices on its ebike models.

The California-based company has a total of 8 electric two-wheeled creations in its lineup and they come to the market providing wholesale prices to the public while providing top quality products.

The Luna lineup ranges from electric scooters to intense Enduro e-bikes and everything in between. Design cues for some of the lineup make it seem the bikes aren’t noticeably battery-powered and have a stealthy aesthetic.

Luna Fixed Stealth Ebike

The Luna Fixed Stealth is a commuter class e-bike that comes ready for the streets. It’s an e-bike that will get you where you need to go without sacrificing looks. Its name is a perfect description of the bike – from a distance, it looks like a regular fixie bike.

The Stealth comes with a 6061 aluminum frame, 21.4mm wheels and Kenda tires out of the box. The belt drive – rated for 20,000 miles – gives the aesthetic of a regular single-speed bike but it actually has 3 speeds thanks to the internal geared hub in the rear. The Stealth weighs in at only 39lbs, which is very light for any bike let alone an e-bike. Located on the stem is a very discreet LCD display that gives you speed and battery level.

The Stealth has an unnoticeable, 36V 7AH 250 watt-hour Panasonic celled battery located in the downtube. The bike utilizes a very quiet, mid-mounted, 500-watt motor located in the bottom bracket. Power can be put down using the handle throttle or the pedal-assist feature. In real-world testing, the Stealth was able to hit 22mph for 16 miles on throttle only and topped out at 30mph in pedal-assisted mode.

Luna Apocalypse V3 Scooter

The Luna Apocalypse V3 Scooter is a fully loaded electric scooter. It comes packing impressive components and is the third version of the brand’s e-scooter.

Luna’s Apocalypse comes with a front and rear torsion suspension. This e-scooter is sold as a “race vehicle and is for private property use” per the Luna website. This is due to its capability of breaking the 25mph speed requirements for street legal uses. This little monster comes with beefy disc brakes front and rear – ensuring you can stop on a dime.

It comes packing a massive 60V/27Ah battery mounted on the kickplate. This scooter is not to be mistaken for any other as it comes packing a powerful 1600 watt motor on the front and rear, totalling 3200 watts of power and only weighing in at 75lbs.

The Apocalypse will set you back $1,790 and comes in Black.

Luna Folding Ebike

The Luna Folding E-Bike is a fully loaded folding bike with loads of range and power to get you from point A to point B. This 20” bike is a lightweight Mosso bike paired with Luna’s electrical components.

Luna’s folding bike comes with a 9-speed Shimano drivetrain and mechanical disc brakes. This e-bike weighs in at 38lbs with the battery pack and 20” wheels. The full color display is mounted on the front stem to see the battery level and travel speed.

It comes packing an impressive 52V/12Ah frame-mounted battery. This small package comes with ample power from its 750-watt mid-drive motor (programmed to be limited for street use).

The Folding E-bike can be purchased for $1,800 and comes in Orange/White.

Luna Fat Galaxy Ebike

The Luna Fat Galaxy E-Bike is a fat-tired, hardtail mountain trekker ready to take you anywhere. It’s available in two frame sizes – Medium (17”) or Large (19”) – and comes standard with RockShox Bluto forks and 26-inch wheels wrapped in Maxxis Colossus rubber. The Fat Galaxy can traverse on any terrain you throw at it – including snow.

Luna’s fat bike comes with a 12-speed drivetrain, Tektro brakes and 203mm rotors. It comes packing an impressive 52V/12Ah frame-mounted battery. The Fat E-Bike comes with ample power from its 2500 watt mid-drive motor – perfect for climbing any hill on your journey.

The Fat E-bike can be purchased for $3,200 and comes in a unique Galaxy Black paint scheme.

Luna X1 Enduro

The Luna X1 Enduro comes to the beefy Enduro segment ready for battle. It comes with a carbon fiber frame that holds a list of impressive components found on high-end mountain bikes and has the added benefit of a powerful electric motor.

The X1 comes with a very strong, lightweight carbon fiber frame in addition to 27.5” double wall wheels wrapped in Maxxis Minion 2.8” tires. It also comes with an SRAM SX Eagle cassette and SRAM 4 piston hydraulic brakes. All cables on the X1 have been routed internally to keep up with the times of modern-day enduro beasts.

The X1 Enduro comes standard with a 48V 13.5AH 650 watt-hour battery located in the downtube. The bike utilizes Bafang’s latest M600, mid-mounted, 750-watt motor located in the bottom bracket. Power can be put down using the handle throttle or the pedal-assist feature.

If you live to go big or go home, Luna has you covered with the option to upgrade your X1 Enduro to “Ludicrous Mode”. This upgrades your controller to allow 2000 watts of power from the motor for an extra $300 – so worth it.

Sur Ron X Bike

The Sur Ron X Bike was a collaborative project with Luna and is Luna’s electric motorcycle/dirt bike/e-bike hybrid. It was made to compete in the 110cc dirt bike market while being an electric cycle. While it’s not street legal, it will be a blast ripping through the trails on this little guy.

The Sur Ron X Bike comes standard with a massive 60V 31.9AH 2000 watt-hour battery located in the frame. The mini electric motorcycle comes sporting RST forks with 8 inches of suspension travel and a regenerative coasting feature when Sport mode is engaged. It weighs in at 110lbs and comes limited to lower speed to comply with most states’ speed regulations.

The Sur Ron X costs $4,100 and comes in the Black Edition color scheme.

Luna Cycle Apollo

The Luna Cycle Apollo is the brand’s top-of-the-line mountain trekker that spent two years in development. Luna has claimed this model to be the best production e-bike ever. It carries high-end components found on only the best mountain bikes in the game.

The Apollo comes in Medium/Large 18.5” frame sizing. It comes standard with 27.5” wheels wrapped in Maxxis tires and a full RockShox DebonAir suspension setup. It also comes with a Sram Eagle SX 12 speed drive-train and total weight of just 60lbs.

The Apollo has a frame-mounted 21ah 52v Panasonic Ga celled battery. The bike is powered by a 1100W mid-mounted motor with an internal control system. The range can bring you up to 40 miles on throttle only or further using the pedal-assist feature.

Luna Apex

The Apex is one of Luna’s most cherished models. Luna developed the Apex to exceed all other production e-bikes on the market in both performance and quality. The Apex comes to the scene with a full carbon fiber frame and full suspension with a modest 110mm of travel.

The Apex comes in three frame sizes (S,M,L) and 26 inch by 4 inch wide carbon fiber wheels wrapped in Maxxis Mammoth tires. It also comes with a Sram Eagle SX 12 speed drive-train and Shimano Deore brakes.

The space-age-designed Apex has a frame mounted 52V 21ah battery and a 750-watt road legal mid-mount motor, but you can upgrade to the more powerful motor upon checkout per the website.
