Updates to the 450 SX-F Factory Edition
KTM’s 450 SX-F Factory Edition sits at the peak of the company’s motocross lineup. The new updates to the 2019 model should help make this bike better for supercross and motocross than ever before. Instead of coming out with a completely new bike for 2019 KTM just made some notable changes.
The 450 SX-F Factory Edition is a limited production performance model built for certain markets only. It comes ready to race from the factory.
“We look forward to seeing our customers enjoy the benefits of this ultra-special bike that has so much racing pedigree behind it with an array of upgrades over the standard model,” said KTM Senior Product Manager Offroad, Joachim Sauer.
The New 450 SX-F Is Ready to Race
KTM gave the 450 SX-F the full Factory treatment in the looks department, including an orange frame, 2019 Red Bull KTM Factory Racing graphics that are exclusive to the model, and a special Factory seat with Selle Dalla Valle logo.
The performance enhancements include engine and suspension upgrades. The 2019 450cc single-cylinder motorcycle gets an Akrapovič Slip-on silencer, Factory wheels with D.I.D. Dirt Star rims, a Factory start for the fork, a composite skid plate, and orange anodized Factory triple clamps. It also gets floating front brake disc and disc guard for added stopping power.
If this limited-edition motocross machine piques your interest, you should be able to find a model at U.S. dealers come March 2019.
If you want to dominate the motocross scene there are few bikes to rival KTM’s machine. These upgrades don’t make the bike completely different from the 2018 450 SX-F Factory Edition, but they’re a continued move in the right direction from the brand.
