Rev’it! Acquires Tryonic

Rev’it! and Tryonic

October 31, 2011 – REV’IT! Sport International announced today that it has acquired TRYONIC, an Italian brand specializing in protection products for motorcycling, skiing and other outdoor sports.

“The acquisition of Tryonic is — after acquiring the Gore-Tex license for apparel and gloves in 2009 (report) — the next big moment for our company”, says Ivan Vos, Managing Director of REV’IT! Sport International B.V.

“Tryonic offers a wide range of truly unique and complementary products, many of which have one or more patents. This strategic acquisition is in line with our ambition to become the world’s leading brand in road and off road safety products.

Being able to implement and offer protection of this quality level is another big step as simultaneously, consumer awareness related to the importance of personal protection is growing, for both track as road use”, according to Vos.

Rev’it! is able to immediately introduce Tryonic to their global sales network in the motorcycle industry. Starting in 2012, Rev’it! will also introduce new products and concepts, under the Tryonic brand name that are currently in development.

The Tryonic product range and development team will be fully integrated into the Rev’it! design and operations headquarters in Oss, The Netherlands and New York, U.S.A. The full Spring-Summer 2012 range, including TRYONIC will be presented at EICMA, Milan (8-13 November 2011).

REV’IT! Sport International B.V. is a Dutch company, specializing in the development, design, sales and marketing of motorcycle apparel and accessories. Rev’it! is currently one of the fastest growing companies in the motorcycle industry with a reported growth of 25% over the last calendar year.
